iPhone 15 Pro Models May Cost Rs 17000 More Than iPhone 14 Pro Models

The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to be significantly more expensive than the current iPhone 14 Pro models. The new phones are rumored to cost $100 (approximately Rs 9,000) more for the regular iPhone 15 model and up to $200 (roughly Rs 17,000) more for the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max variant. This price increase is expected to be attributed to Apple’s new iPhones being powered by a faster processor and GPU than their predecessors. The new processors will likely be built on TSMC’s 3nm fabrication process, which is more expensive than the older 22nm chips.

In addition to the performance upgrades, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to get a few other hardware features currently exclusive to the Pro lineup. These include a titanium frame, solid-state action buttons with haptic feedback, and the A17 Bionic chip. In addition, the Pro Max model will also feature a periscope camera for improved optical zoom capabilities.

Aside from the changes above, the upcoming iPhones are also expected to receive a software update that will bring several other enhancements, including a redesigned app drawer, a darker gray color scheme, and support for the Apple Pencil’s tilt functionality. The phones are also expected to feature a revamped Control Center that will be more responsive and offer a better overall design.

According to a recent report by EE Times, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will be pricier than their predecessors because of their increased production costs. The higher prices are due to the new TSMC-built A17 Bionic chip, which is more expensive to make than its 22nm counterpart. Moreover, the new camera system is said to be more expensive than its predecessors due to its larger lens and other improvements.

It’s important to remember that the upcoming iPhones will still be among the most powerful and capable smartphones/computers you can buy. Despite the price increase, you should still consider buying an iPhone Pro if you can afford it.

In May, Apple CEO Tim Cook claimed that the company’s iPhone sales have been growing in recent years, primarily because they have managed to separate the Pro and standard models. This has helped the company raise the iPhone’s average selling price (ASP), despite struggling to meet demand for the iPhone 14 Pro model.

While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the rumors regarding a price increase for its iPhone 15, a Barclays analyst believes it will boost revenue by raising prices this year. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will have several new features unavailable on the non-Pro models, such as Dynamic Island and a 48MP primary camera. These features will add a lot of value to the Pro models, but most consumers will only need them and are likely to buy the Pro variants if they have enough benefits.
