Spider-Man 4 Production Kicks Off Next Summer, Confirms Tom Holland

Tom Holland has confirmed that filming will start soon on the next Spider-Man 4 movie. The young star appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and told his host that the shooting would begin next summer.

Holland has a busy schedule ahead of him as he films Avengers: Doomsday and will also star in Christopher Nolan’s new film. However, he also clarified that he would return to the Spider-Man franchise afterward.

The British star has been making the press rounds to promote his non-alcoholic beer Bero and spoke about his excitement about doing the next installment of Spider-Man. He said he recently read the script draft with co-star Zendaya, and they both loved it. He went on to say that the writing is “super exciting” and that it lit a fire under them.

Fans are eagerly awaiting news on Spider-Man 4. The last movie in the franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was released in 2021 and brought back previous Spider-Man stars like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Fans have been wondering if there will be another film in the franchise that will feature Holland.

While Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures haven’t made an official announcement on the movie, Holland has been teasing the news for a while now. He also mentioned on a podcast that he will be working with director Christopher Nolan again and that the movie is titled Spider-Man: King in Black.

Last month, it was reported that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is in talks to direct the fourth Spider-Man film. He will take over for Jon Watts, who directed the three previous movies starring Holland. Cretton is a seasoned filmmaker with a diverse portfolio of work. He will surely bring a fresh perspective and dynamic energy to the franchise.

During his appearance on the talk show, Jimmy Fallon also asked Holland about No Way Home. He said it was a successful movie that combined previous Spider-Man actors like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The host also recalled an incident from a previous show episode when Fallon had asked Holland over Zoom if Spider-Man alumni Tobey and Andrew would be in No Way Home. Holland lied at the time, and the two had a good laugh.
