Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Reveals Father of Baby After Paternity Test

After fans questioning who fathered pregnant Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s baby, due to the timeline of her breakup from estranged husband Ryan Anderson and her reunion with boyfriend Ken Urker earlier in the year, the Gypsy Rose: Lige After Lockup star has finally set the record straight.

Blanchard, 32, who is pregnant with her first bay, recently decided to take a non-invasive prenatal paternity test which confirmed that her boyfriend Urker is the father of her baby and not her ex-Ryan Anderson.

“There’s been a lot of chatter around the paternity of our baby and while we’ve known for sure from the beginning, I feel that it’s finally time to put all these theories to rest,” Blanchard wrote in a Tuesday, Nov. 5 Instagram post.

To suppress any further speculation, the 32-year-old shared a screenshot of the paternity results, which confirmed a 99.9% ‘probability of paternity’ for Ken and noted samples were taken from the couple on Oct.28.“Ken is going to be an incredible dad,” Gypsy added, “and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world.”

In July, Gypsy had excitedly announced that she was expecting a daughter with her 31-year-old boyfriend, Ken Urker. But due to Louisiana rule, Gypsy’s estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, had to undergo a DNA test to prove the baby’s paternity because Gypsy Blanchard is still legally married to him.

Had he refused, he might have been named as the father of the birth certificate instead of Ken Urker.  Speaking on the situation, Ryan confessed that he planed to undergo the test but said: “I don’t have a choice.”

As per Louisiana law, “If the mother is married to someone other than the biological father when the child was conceived or has been divorced for less than 300 days at the time of birth, the husband/ex-husband shall be the presumed father, unless paternity is established for the biological father.”

While serving time in prison for her role of the killing of her mother, Blanchard was in a relationship with Urker, who first started as a pen pal. Urker went on to proceed in 2018 and their relationship ended years prior to her 2023 prison release. At the tine of her release, Blanchard was married to Anderson, whom she married while she was in prison.

The 32-year-old was released from prison in December after serving seven years for conspiracy to kill her mother Dee Dee in 2015, a case which captured the world.
