Lucy Liu Wears Zuhair Murad Couture to the ‘Red One’ Berlin Premiere

Lucy Liu is widely known for her taste of fashion in every event she graces. And the “Red One’ premiere in Berlin on Sunday was no different as she looked glamorous as always. The Stuart global ambassador joined co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Kiernan Shipka, and Chris Evans on the red carpet for the world premiere of the new film, ‘Red One.’

Despite her petite frame, Lucy Liu graced the event in a breathtaking Zuhair Murad Fall 2024 Couture black velvet gown that was anything but understated. With a crystal encrusted bodice and sculptural looped net detailing, Lucy’ look was a masterclass in high drama.

The ornate black gown showcased a mermaid silhouette, with a slim-fitting skirt that flared into a long, dramatic train behind the ‘Charlie’s Angels alum. Intricate details of the gown could have been easily overwhelmed, but Lucy’s look was perfectly executed.

Lucy’s choose of wardrobe for the special occasion is a clear testament to how meticulous styling can elevate a look, as a higher placement of the detailing or an overly ominous hairstyle could have thrown off the entire effect.

To add to the visual impact, Lucy chose hair stylist, Enzo Angileri, chose to style her hair elegantly, with white floral accents that brough a subtle contrast to the gown’s darker tones. The floral touch, paired with here Roxanne Assoulin jewelry, adding a hint of softness and elegance, balancing the boldness of the gown without competing with it.

Together with the captivating gown, Liu wore Tamara Mellon shoes. Her makeup featured a subtle pop of color with a rosy lip. Liu’s red-carpet look was perfectly curated by stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley, widely known for collaborating with Rachel Zegler and Jessica Williams.

Zuhair Murad’s fall 2024 couture collection hit the air waves during Paris Fashion Weel last June. “Zuhair Murad sought to offer an outlet for his heroine’s inner torment this season, translating emotion like a burst of anger in his glittering silhouettes,” Alex Wyne reported of the collection for WWD.

Back at the show, Murad described the silhouette for several of the designs as “structured, more strong, edgier, sexier,” adding, “We have a huge history from thousands of couturiers, they gave us an encyclopedia of techniques. What we are doing now is to develop this in a modern way to meet with our world.”

‘Red One’ is set to hit theatres on November 15, 2024.
