Priyanka Chopra is widely known for sharing pictures and videos from her daily life on the popular social media platform Instagram. The famous actor is currently shooting for the second season of Citadel in London.
Despite this, she still managed to take time out from her busy schedule to celebrate Dhanteras with her two-year old daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Even though they reside in the US, the family embraced Indian culture. This comes a day after she posted a video of Malti Marie learning Hindi at Nicki’s insistence.
One of the moments which grabbed out attention was her daughter, Malti, trying to translate a word into Hindi with her father, Nick, by her side. The video featuring Malti’s Hindi lesson appears at the end of the post. Nick can be heard encouraging Malti, who makes an adorable attempt at translation.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared a picture of Malti flaunting her wrist full of colorful bangles as they celebrated Dhanteras. She also shared a picture of herself to wish her fans on the occasion. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy Dhanteras to all celebrating.”
The photo was also posted on Priyanka and Nick’s fan pages, drawing reactions from many of their admirers. “Aww pretty bangles,” wrote a fan, while another wrote, “Absolutely cute. Stay blessed.”
In the picture, Malti Marie is dressed in traditional attire and adorned with a stack of silver bangles. This dedication to her culture resonated with many fans, who appreciate the duo’s efforts to maintain a connection to Indian roots.
Earlier this month, Priyanka briefly returned to India to promote her brand, Max Factor. During an interview, she expressed her longing for the singing and dancing characteristic of Bollywood films, hinting at a possible return to her Indian film roots. Her film, Paani, recently received the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation.
Priyanka and Singer Nick Jonas tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogacy in January 20202. The actress was last seen in the romantic comedy Love Again and has a busy slate of upcoming projects, including Heads of State with Idris Elba and John Cena, and The Bluff, where she will portray a 19th-Century Caribbean pirate. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in her pipeline.
