The cast of “Barbie” has officially hit the red carpet for the movie’s world premiere, and, like the Mattel icon itself, they are pink-plastic. From Margot Robbie to Dua Lipa, these best-dressed celebs steal the show with their Barbie-inspired looks.
Taking a break from her usual pink dresses, Robbie dazzled in a black bustier dress for the event. The off-the-shoulder style incorporated a sculptural cutout at the bust and was covered in sparkling crystals from top to bottom. She finished it with holographic heels and a flashy diamond necklace. The dress’s hemline dipped down to a mini mermaid tail at the knee, and, of course, she carried a Prada pink clutch.
Robbie is no stranger to the Barbie theme, though. At the movie’s CinemaCon premiere earlier this year, she wore a pink gingham Prada set with a wrap miniskirt and matching bustier top. She paired the look with rosy Louboutin heels and a pink Prada bag. And for the premiere in Los Angeles, she continued her pink-on-pink theme by adding a long pink gingham coat and a small pair of pink pee-toe heels.
Ryan Gosling also stayed on the theme while attending the premiere. The actor, who plays Ken in the Greta Gerwig film, wore a salmon Gucci suit teamed with a pink shirt and cream shoes. The actor’s most eye-catching accessory was a custom Hollywood 3D Printing necklace with an “E” pendant dangling from a chain in pink Barbie font. The accessory was a nod to his longtime partner Eva Mendes, who couldn’t attend the premiere.
Dua Lipa, who stars as Mermaid Barbie in the upcoming Greta Gerwig film, made a sensational statement in a sheer and sparkling gown. The New Rules singer, who contributed to the movie’s soundtrack, opted for a dazzling silver chainmail look that aptly channeled her sea-dwelling character. She accessorized the look with a glitzy silver purse and a handful of gleaming silver rings, and she sported a sleek, middle-parted ponytail.
Lipa’s glam makeup consisted of a thick layer of mascara, a warm blush, and a darker nude-colored matte tint on her lips. She accentuated her gorgeous eyes with a smoky kohl-colored liner and topped off her look with a pair of round-frame sunglasses.
