Angelina Jolie Joined by Daughter Zahara at Palm Springs Film Festival After Settling Brad Pitt Divorce

Hollywood star Angelia Jolie decided to make the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival a family affair. The Oscar winner brought along her and ex-husband Brad Pitt’s eldest daughter Zahara Marley Jolie as her date to the star-studded event in Southern California. The event took place three days after the former couple settled their divorce following a more than eight-year legal battle.

This marked her first major event since she and Brad Pitt, 61, reached a settlement in their divorce. The actress parted her long, blonde hair to the side along with her new bangs. She kept her makeup neutral with a rosy, pink lip. The actress accepted the Desert Palm Achievement Award, which recognizes her acclaimed performance at the titular opera singer in the Netflix biopic Maria.

“Jolie’s extraordinary portrayal captures the heart and complexity of an artist whose life was as captivating as her music,” said Nachhattar Singh Chandi, the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s chairman, in a statement. For her role in Maria, Jolie is also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture-Drama at the 2025 Golden Globes, which are set to take place Jan. 5.

Angelina wore a black halter neck dress and debuted new bangs for the event, while Zahara settled for a white one-shoulder gown. The actress filed for divorce in 2016, setting off a lengthy battle over ownership of their $164 million French winery, Chateau Miraval, and the custody of their children- Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, Knox, 16,  and Vivienne, 16. They settled their divorce on December 30 but have been legally single since 2019.

The actress in her file for divorce cited irreconcilable differences mere days after a fight on a private plane on which Jolie has claimed Pitt was abusive to her and their six children. After an investigation at the time, authorities did not charge the actor and Jolie declined to press charges.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she was focused on finding peace and healing for the family,” Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said in a statement. “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
